I own far too many makeup brushes, but in my two-pot collection I definitely have some firm favourites that I reach for every morning no matter what look I'm going for.
The £3 Benefit Dupe: Technic High Lights
I've never bought high-end makeup, including the Benefit High Beam at £19.50. It looks lovely and all - but as a recent graduate who is yet to find a full-time job, I can't justify purchasing this, as well as a few other department store treats (a moment of silence for the Urban Decay Naked Palette, please). Thankfully for cheapskates me, there's always a nice dupe somewhere. In this case, it's the Technic (I'd never heard of that brand, either) High Lights.
An Ode to the Lush Ultrabland Cleanser
I can't remember how I first stumbled upon the Lush Ultrabland Cleanser, but it's had some good reviews already and even has the approval of Caroline Hirons. Some people reckon it's a bit basic because of the lack of perfume or other fancy fillers - but if you have any problems with sensitive skin, that's exactly the kind of stuff you're looking to avoid.
The Trouble With Foundations
At the time of writing, I own five foundations. I only use three of those foundations on a regular basis... and one of them is a Mineral Foundation, so you might not even count that. That might not sound like much to those who don't hoard their makeup, but it's quite a statement for a beauty blogger.
Bodyshop Aloe Skincare Haul and First Impressions
I decided to start investing in my skincare properly. I ended up taking advantage of some recent sales at The Bodyshop and purchased most of the things from their Aloe Skincare range. They contain no perfume or alcohol, and have rave reviews on their website from people with rosacea, eczema and other skin conditions, so I figured it was definitely worth a go.
