Warning: This post contains spoilers, as well as my own theories as well. So if you don't want to see spoilers, and/or don't want to know who I think is Uber A... click away!
I'm going to admit to something that I don't usually talk about; which is that I have a strong, emotional investment in Pretty Little Liars.
Don't look at me like that. I know it's over the top. I know that the girls get themselves into most of the trouble they're in. I know it's been a huge let-down at times (I still don't understand why Charlotte was A), but I still have faith that the final ten episodes next year will be fucking spectacular and answer every question we've ever had... or you know, questions we had four seasons ago but completley forgot about.
Just in case you need a refresher, here are those questions:
1. Has everyone forgotten about Mona killing Bethany? Is she ever going to get punished for that?
2. Ditto Aria killing Shana. (Yeah, you forgot about that one, didn't you? Don't worry, I had to Google Shana's name.)
3. Has
Aria
forgotten than she killed Shana? She doesn't seem to look that shaken up about it.
4. Who the hell was Shana again?
5. Who the hell is Sydney and why exactly should we care about her?
6. Why did the liars feel guilty about what happened to Sara Harvey's hands? It's not their fault!
7. Why was Sara so involved in hurting the liars in the first place?
8. Ditto Charlotte? I know she said a bunch of crap about them disrespecting her sister or some other nonsense, but come on. It makes no sense.
9. Why
don't
the liars feel guilty about blinding Jenna? The only time they express regret is when they might actually have to face the consequences for their actions. If I was in their shoes, I would be begging Jenna for forgiveness, and supporting her in any way I could - not giving her dirty looks and snide remarks. Yes, I know they've always been suspicious about her being behind all this and that might be a reason to be a little cold, but have they ever considered apologising? Even in the season finale, when Jenna says "I didn't loose my sight, you took it from me," they still didn't say sorry. This might be a very different show if they did.
10. Who killed Maya? (Forgot about her as well, didn't you?)
11. Who killed Jessica DiLaurentis?
12. Who killed Sara? (I slightly don't care, but hope it ties into the plot in some way.)
13. Who is responsible for the other ten thousand unsolved murder cases in Rosewood?
14. What the hell does Noel have to do with any of this?
15. Why don't they ever just
go to the Police?
16. Why do I care so much about this programme?
17. Was Spencer in Radley as a child? That's pretty much the only thing that would explain
18. Emily, why the actual fuck did you take your phone out of your pocket in the finale? Were you getting a selfie in the creepiest fucking building ever? Or updating your Twitter? "Just swapping our only evidence that Noel was in the dollhouse for a camera that shows Hanna expressing the full extent of her PTSD. LOL."
19. When do we get to find out that Wren is entirely responsible for this whole thing?
20. If A.D. isn't Wren... can it at least be one of the liars? Or a boyfriend? Someone we've known from the beginning. Come on, I want to feel
really
betrayed.
21. Once I've found out who Uber A is... how many times am I going to re-watch all the previous seasons to see if I can spot the clues?
22. Will the writers be able to make an ending as good at the fan theories I've read on Tumblr? (The last time I was seriously disappointed in how a TV show ended was when I watched the finale of
How I Met Your Mother.
I don't want that to happen again.)
23. How the hell am I supposed to wait until April for 7B?!
24. What am I going to do with my life when this show is over?
Let me know who you think A.D. is in the comments! I love discussing theories. In the meantime, if someone could draw me a family tree of the DiLaurentis and Hastings family, that would be really helpful.
