It’s no secret that I have a lot of clients with their own blogs or YouTube channels, and in most cases it’s the first time they’ve worked with a professional photographer. It can a little daunting to have a stranger pointing a DSLR at you when you’re used to your mum or significant other taking your photos. What are you supposed to wear? How do you pose? I appreciate that it might be overwhelming, so I thought I’d write this post or anyone who’s thinking of investing in a photoshoot soon… and no, it doesn’t have to be with me! (But, you know, I’m pretty good. Just saying.)

I never thought I'd be writing a post like this, because from the age of 22 my dream was to be a "YouTuber". But I just don't love YouTube anymore. Back in 2012, I had just started a Masters Degree, and was overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. YouTube was (or at least felt like) a safe place for me to escape.
I thought that having my own custom palette would speed up my morning routine, so that I would have all my basic eye and cheek colours in one place. If travelling, all my essentials would already be in one palette, so I wouldn’t have to take as many products with me. Sounds like a good idea, right? The problem was, most of my favourite products were not designed to be put in a palette...

I don't usually do anything on Halloween. Sometimes I'll film a relatively spooky makeup tutorial for my YouTube channel, but I won't actually dress up on the night (which is a shame, because I can't think of any other occasion when I'm going to reach for those dark purple colours in my eyeshadow palettes).
When I went to stay in Belgium, Charline said that we had to have a day trip to Brussels, and I'm so glad she did.We saw some classic attractions, walked around in the sun, and took a lot of photographs. I was lucky enough to have Charline showing me around and she knew all the places that were worth visiting.
