Tomorrow I'll be 26 (oh, God). To stop me freaking out about getting another year older, I've thought about all the things I can do this year. Some are silly, some are serious.
For Youtube And Beyond: The Rode VideoMic
When I started my Youtube channel, I was lucky enough to already have most of the equipment I needed. However, once I got into the swing of things I noticed two things that weren't quite up to scratch: my confidence, and the sound quality. I'm still working on the former; but for the latter, I got the Rode VideoMic.
A Few Favourites
Buying Less Makeup
even after my cleaning out my stash two or three times a year, I still have enough makeup to fill up four drawers in my vanity table. And I'm not sure whether it's how overwhelmed I feel when I do my makeup in the morning, or being freelance and not knowing what my income will be like month to month, or simply because I no longer have acne and don't wear as much makeup anymore... but either way, I'm starting to feel like I have enough.
Irresistible Me Diamond Hair Styler* Review (with Discount Code)
I haven't dabbled with hair straighteners for years - I used them religiously back in High School, but since then I've embraced a bigger, curlier styler closer to my natural waves. When Irresistible Me reached out to me and asked if I'd like to try their tourmaline flat iron*, I was very keen to try them out to see if I could use them to try a different kind of look. I'm happy to report that hair straighteners have definitely upped their game since my school days.
On Repeat No. 3
This month I haven't been listening to many new releases (apart from one by Radiohead, which we'll talk about in a minute). Instead, I've been going backwards, going through all my favourite alternative albums from the nineties and noughties. I've been writing a lot this month, and this is the type of music that really helps me concentrate.
