Recently, I made a short film during a day out in Formby about getting away from your problems. I also took some photographs while I was there, which I'd like to share as well. There's a nice mix of landscapes and family photos which I'll enjoy looking back on when I want to remember the trip.
Candids No. 1
I thought I would start posting more of my personal photographs on here, seeing as I take so many. The first two were taken when I was showing Charline around Manchester. I was focused on filming that day because I knew I was going to be making a video, but I still wanted to get a couple of stills, too.

How I Take Selfies
When I announced I was going to start writing more about photography, my blogging sister Charline asked me for advice on how to take selfies (I prefer to call them "self portraits" but I can't help feel a bit pretentious when I do). She said that she struggled to get her makeup visible on camera, which was actually a problem I had too when I first started. So I thought I'd write about what I do when I'm taking pictures of myself for people who feel about taking selfies the way I feel about learning SEO - scared, confused, and overwhelmed.

Accidental Paperchase Haul
To cut a long story short, I recently walked past Paperchase in Manchester when I was feeling rather... emotional. I went inside to take my mind off things and look at some 70p postcards, and then somehow I accidentally spent nearly £40 on things I'm almost certain I didn't actually need. But they did cheer me up!
