I Heart Makeup: Death By Chocolate Palette. Review, Looks, & Swatches.

I got the I Heart Makeup: Death By Chocolate Palette, £7.99, and so far I love it. The colour selection is right up my street, with a range of neutrals, bronze and gold tones, a few browns, and a bit of pink and purple too. Neutral palettes like these are great because they suit everyone, and everyone feels comfortable wearing them, too. It was definitely "inspired" by the £39 Too Faced Chocolate Palette, though the colours remind me of what you'd find in the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.

My New (Budget) Brushes

My New (Budget) Brushes

As a long-term makeup hoarder, I decided it was time to get a decent stash of makeup brushes. Up until this point I've been using one of the cheaper sets from Crown Brushes (no longer on their website) which weren't great to start with but got more scratchy over time. After getting a few of the single Real Techniques and Eco Tools brushes and being amazed at how they changed my makeup routine for the better I knew I could justify it.

The Perfect Blush for Beginners

The Perfect Blush for Beginners

As someone with naturally red, pigmented skin, it's taken me a while to get into blushers. Seeing as I typically spend extra time layering foundation over redness, I didn't really want a product to put it back on again. However, I read an article about blushers by Lisa Elridge in Elle and suddenly got the urge to try it out. I'd heard good things about the Natural Collection Blushers - and at £1.99 or three for £5 I thought I'd give them a whirl.
