I've been looking for a new camera bag for a while - something to take on day-trips, that could protect my camera but also fit my purse, an umbrella, a makeup bag, and all the other tat I need to carry around with me. Oh, and most importantly: it had to look stylish, and preferably not like a camera bag at all.
The Essential Purchase for Porcelain Skin: Stargazer White Foundation
If you're rocking a Snow White complexion like me, then you probably find it quite difficult to find a good match for foundation. I've lost count of the amount of times I've purchased a shade that looked like it was pale enough in the shops, but once on my face looked orange. I ended up with a stash of foundations that just didn't work for me, which is when I had the bright idea to hunt down a completley white foundation to mix with them.
I Take Antidepressants (and That's Fine)
I take anti-depressants. I've had them for nearly three months now, depending when this post goes up. This isn't the first time I've taken them, I went into some detail in a previous video about needing them in 2012. I'm not writing this to make you feel sorry for me - I honestly feel better than ever. I'm writing this because I don't see a lot of people talk about it, and I thought that I would, to let you all know that it's completley fine if it's something you need to do.
Candids No. 3: Liverpool
I took a lot of photos at the #NWMeet 2.0 in Liverpool last month - so many, in fact, that I couldn't include the photographs of the city in that blog post or it would have been too long! But I really wanted to share them, so here they are.
The Toad Diary
A couple of weeks ago, I received a planner from Toad in my goody bag from the #NWMeet in Liverpool. I immediately liked that the start of the diary was the following Monday - normally when you open a diary, you have to skip the first few months that you've missed. I started keeping it on my desk to write down the odd to-do list or appointment, and actually ended up using it quite a lot.
I Found Some of My Grandfather's Slides in a Shoebox in Leeds
I've been travelling to Leeds a lot this year, since my grandma was diagnosed with Dementia and moved into a care home. My mum and I are tidying up her former house and getting it ready to put on the market. During one of our visits I was staying the night in the guest room, and found a yellow shoebox on the floor at the bottom of my bed. It was full of slides taken by my grandfather, who was very fond of photography before his death.
